TOPIC: ARE YOU WILLING TO GIVE UP COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE TO FOLLOW GOD?

Gospel: Matthew 7: 6, 12-14
In our gospel today, Christ reminds His disciples that following God will entail hardship. The road ahead would not be easy for it usually requires sacrifice and inconveniences, and sometimes even persecutions and humiliations. He compared following God’s will to the narrow gate when He said, “How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few.”.
Indeed, following God will test our faithfulness, but it is through challenges and hardships that we will be able to grow in holiness and find a deeper sense of joy!
This is the 1520th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
