First: James 5: 13-20
Psalm: Psalms 141: 1-2, 3 and 8
Alleluia: Matthew 11: 25
Gospel: Mark 10: 13-16

The parents who brought their children to Jesus wanted Jesus to lay His hands upon them. They believed in the healing power, physical and spiritual, that came from Jesus' touch.  Jesus rebuked his disciples for hindering the children from coming although no doubt, the disciples only wanted to shield Jesus from the nuisance of noisy children. But Jesus delighted in the children and demonstrated that God's love has ample room for everyone. No one is unimportant to God. He comes to each person individually so that He might touch them with His healing love and power.  Do we show kindness to the youth we encounter in our community, home, and church and do we pray for them that they may grow in the knowledge and wisdom of Jesus Christ?

This is the 1489th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Solphie Confiado as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
