TOPIC: WHAT HARDSHIPS ARE YOU WILLING TO GO THROUGH JUST TO FOLLOW OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST?

First Reading: Acts 6: 8-10; 7: 54-59
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 31: 3cd-4, 6 and 8ab, 16bc and 17
Alleluia: Psalms 118: 26a, 27a
Gospel: Matthew 10: 17-22

Many times, our patience will be challenged, we will feel unworthy, we will experience disappointments, we may feel betrayed by those whom we least expect to reject us. Sometimes family emergencies such as illness or financial difficulties or relationship problems become obstacles in our journey of service.

But let us remember Jesus’ promise - that those who would follow Him, even if they go through persecution, will experience God’s saving grace, and that they can find courage and confidence by the power of His Spirit.

This is the 1341st installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Lawrence Quintero, a member of the CFC International Council, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
