TOPIC: CAN I STILL HOLD ON TO MY PRESENT FAITH WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH?
First Reading: Acts 6: 8-10; 7: 54-59
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 31: 3cd-4, 6 and 8ab, 16bc and 17
Alleluia: Psalms 118: 26a, 27a
Gospel: Matthew 10: 17-22
In proclaiming the Good News, expect difficulties, for they are part of it. Stephen met his utmost challenge in witnessing to his faith. He was able to witness courageously because he was mature in faith.
Most of the time, we easily back down when the going gets tough. But we cannot imagine losing in the end when we know our Lord has already won the battle for us.
We should keep the spirit of a winner and not of losers ⏤ not even of doubters. Coming from the victory of Jesus, we can only be relentless, unstoppable, and always on fire for the work.
This is the 1705th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Robert Ardiente, a member of the CFC Servants of the Lord International Core, as he brings us today's reflection.
All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
