The parable highlights the co-existence of good and evil within the Kingdom of God, represented by the field, until the Final Judgment. The parable teaches patience and discernment, emphasizing that God's judgment will separate the righteous from the wicked at the harvest.

God teaches us to guard the Word He has planted in our hearts and to beware of the destructive force of sin and evil which can destroy it. God’s Word brings life, but Satan seeks to destroy the good seed which God has planted in our hearts.
