TOPIC: HOW MUCH IMPORTANCE DO I PLACE ON MY FAITH?

First Reading: First John 1: 1-4
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 97: 1-2, 5-6, 11-12
Gospel: John 20: 1a and 2-8

In our Christian faith, contemplation plays a vital role as it helps to focus the mind on the awareness of God as a living reality. Contemplative practices may include prayerful meditation on holy Scripture or reflection on the presence of God. Just like John, the disciple whom Jesus loved the most, we deepen our understanding of God by contemplating His Word. The more we understand Him, the better we come to know Him.  As our knowledge of Him grows, so does our love for Him.  And with an increase in love comes a greater willingness to serve Him.
