TOPIC: HOW MAY I CAUSE OTHERS TO FALL INTO SIN?

First Reading: Sirach 5: 1-8
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 1: 1-2, 3, 4 and 6
Alleluia: First Thessalonians 2: 13
Gospel: Mark 9: 41-50

“Every one will be salted with fire".

To be salted is for us to be purified. This happens in every situation where our righteousness is challenged, when we are tempted to do wrong and therefore, may set a scandalous example. This is what every Christian is likely to face in the faithful living out of the Gospel. Good salt is the seasoning that will bring peace to our hearts and to our relationships. Salted with fire, we cannot be a stumbling block.

This is the 1769th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Robert Ardiente, CFC Servants of the Lord Coordinator for Southeast Asia, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
