At some point in our lives, we've probably felt like the one lost sheep that had wandered away from the rest of the flock. This is when we've lost our spiritual footing and moral direction, getting caught up in the world's temptations. But just as often, we've found ourselves being guided back to the fold by the Good Shepherd.
There have also been many times in our lives when we can relate to the ninety-nine sheep that stayed in the sheepfold, even when the shepherd temporarily left to find the lost sheep. This doesn't mean we don’t need a shepherd, but rather, it shows that through the shepherd's caring sacrifice for our well-being, we hear his voice and choose to follow him. These are the moments when we’re not truly lost and never have to wander.
Through His Sacred Heart, we're called to a deeper relationship with Jesus, marked by love, trust, and a commitment to living a meaningful Christian life. As we respond to His loving invitation to devote ourselves to His Sacred Heart, He promises us hope, comfort, God's mercy, and grace.
