TOPIC: AFTER BEING WITH JESUS FOR SO LONG, CAN WE DRINK FROM HIS CHALICE?

First Reading: Jeremiah 18: 18-20
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 31: 5-6, 14, 15-16
Verse Before the Gospel: John 8: 12
Gospel: Matthew 20: 17-28

Jesus teaches His disciples about real greatness. In the secular world, leaders exert power, domination and manipulation. They control people for their own ends. Jesus on the other hand, tells them that to be truly great, one’s talents should be totally at the service of others. Jesus is the perfect example. He puts His whole life at our disposal so that every single person should experience liberation and fullness of life. Just like Sister Leonella, may we find it our hearts to take part in this same great enterprise.

This is the 1402nd installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Raymond Bucu, South Asia Regional Coordinator and Provincial Area Head of Bataan, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
