Topic: What is one small thing I can do today with great love? (28 July 2025 - Only By Grace Reflections)

First Reading: Exodus 32:15-24, 30-34
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 106:19-20, 21-22, 23
Alleluia: James 1:18
Gospel: Matthew 13:31-35

In today’s Gospel, Jesus said, “The Kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed with three measures of flour until the whole batch was leavened.” Yeast doesn’t make a big scene. You don’t see it working. But leave the dough alone for a while, and boom. It rises. It softens. It becomes bread.

In the same way, God doesn’t always work in dramatic, instant ways in our lives. Most of the time, His grace is quiet, hidden, and slow, but it’s powerful. If we let it in, it will change everything.
