Couples for Christ (CFC) traces its origin to Manila, Philippines. It was established in 1981 by the charismatic community Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon (LNP) (Filipino for "Joy of the Lord") as its outreach to evangelize married couples.
Through the years, Couples for Christ has blossomed worldwide!
Started with 16 couples, it is now present in all 81 Philippine provinces and dioceses, and it has been brought to 163 countries.
Just like the 16 couples who said yes to the invitation of Jesus in 1981 in the Philippines, let us allow ourselves to be renewed by the power of the Holy Spirit, to deepen our faith by helping one another to revive their relationship with Jesus.
This is the 1141st installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
