Topic: How do I want to spend my life? To persevere or to end in fear? (29 May 2025 - Only By Grace Reflections)
First Reading: Acts 18:1-8

Gospel: John 16:16-20
The resurrection and ascension of Jesus remind us to be worthy of the eternity we will be ushered into. But the Lord reminds us even now that in between today and our final day we will undergo challenges and difficulties.
Hence, Jesus talks of the incorruptible power of the resurrection so that aspiring to be where Christ is, we may hope to rise with Him and ascend too, so that we may be constant in faith and hope.
To the faithful, the truth will overcome our fears and instead grant us peace in Christ’s promises. As the physical Jesus leaves, He comes again through the Holy Spirit. He will empower us to overcome our difficulties and to heal us. It is the Holy Spirit, too, that encourages us to become imitators and bearers of the peace of Christ.
