TOPIC: DO PEOPLE SEE THE HOLY SPIRIT IN ME?

First Reading: First John 2: 22-28
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 98: 1, 2-3ab, 3cd-4
Alleluia: Hebrews 1: 1-2
Gospel: John 1: 19-28

In our daily interactions with others, what do they see in us? Through our words and actions, do they perceive the spirit of love, peace, forgiveness, humility, gentleness, and compassion? Or do they witness the spirit of pride, greed, lust, and unforgiveness? Is it the Spirit of the Lord or the spirit of sinfulness that governs our lives?

As God's children, we should strive to be worthy of our heavenly inheritance by following the guidance and leading of the Holy Spirit. When we falter and stumble, let us listen to the Holy Spirit, who convicts us of our sins and paves the way for our reconciliation with the Father. Our lives should be characterized by the constant presence of the Holy Spirit, ensuring that every interaction with others leads to the same acknowledgment given by John to Jesus: "Now I have seen and testified that he/she is a child of God.”

This is the 1713th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Harris Jacildo, the Sector Leader of CFC Metro Manila South B, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
