TOPIC: DO YOUR WORDS BRING OTHERS CLOSER TO GOD?
First Reading: First Corinthians 2: 10b-16

Gospel: Luke 4: 31-37
In our gospel today, our Lord Jesus Christ says that even the unclean spirits obey! And the people around Him were amazed at what they witnessed about His power — the power of His words. And this is because His authority, coming from His holiness, gives integrity and power to His words.
Pope Benedict XVI said, "Words are not just sounds, they are seeds that can bear fruit." As we desire to live out our faith, let us live with integrity, by seeking and following His will. If we live out our faith with consistency, our words will have integrity and power to influence those around us, so that they too, can recognize and follow the Lord!
