Topic: Can I proclaim the Easter hope in life and in death? (30 April 2024 - Only By Grace Reflections)

In March 2024, Bro. Arnold Unidad was assigned to serve as CFC Area Head of Palawan. In just about two months, he had been to Palawan thrice, including a visit to the CFC Mission Station in Casian Island in Palawan, and was able to conduct the Humility and Obedience in Christ Weekend Retreat in Puerto Princesa City. He was an indefatigable worker and supporter of ANCOP and rendered service willingly and gladly as a CFC ANCOP Liaison Officer.

On that fateful day last year, April 30, 2024, Bro. Arnold was asked to meet with someone in a remote coffee shop in Rizal. There a gunman shot him dead. He sustained four gunshot wounds. Couples for Christ mourned his death.

Today on Bro Arnold’s first death anniversary, we also mourn the deaths of Pope Francis, Bro. Joe Tale, and Bro. Pete Corpuz.

Indeed, as we realized in the past reflections, their deaths may be sad news, but their lives are all good news. For both in life and death, we belong to God. And in life and death, we can proclaim the Easter hope, in Christ.
