TOPIC: HOW WOULD YOU MANIFEST YOUR GRATITUDE WHEN GOD HEALS YOU?
First Reading: Genesis 17: 1, 9-10, 15-22
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 128: 1-2, 3, 4-5
Alleluia: Matthew 8: 17
Gospel: Matthew 8: 1-4
Jesus would often tell those who were healed to tell no one. Because Jesus’ acts of love and mercy were not done for His own benefit, rather, they were done out of love. Jesus cared and loved the leper and wanted to extend his gift of healing. He did it out of compassion and, in return, only wanted the man’s gratitude. He did not need to make this a public spectacle, He only wanted the man to be grateful.
This is the 1166th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Jess Ferrer, Head of the CFC Migrants Program, as he brings us today's reflection.]
All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
