Being an authentic follower of Jesus is difficult with all kinds of temptations dangling before our eyes causing us to lose sight of Him and preventing us from trailing His path.

As we, ourselves, persevere in being Jesus’ disciples serving others in His name, we employ a variety of ways to do so. We offer our time, talent, and treasure. We detach ourselves from material things in this age of materialism. We deny ourselves of worldly pleasures. We deprioritize relaxing pleasant moments with family and friends and sometimes leave them. We forgo power which allows us many privileges, modern day conveniences, and comfortable lives.

For as long as we have faith and trust in God, are steadfast and endure even if we can hardly bear it, we can claim that with His faithfulness and love for us, we will survive and receive our reward.

This is the 1143rd installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our sister Evelyn Ylagan, CFC HOLD International Coordinator, as she brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
