TOPIC: WHAT ARE THE WORLDLY DESIRES THAT HINDER OUR COMING TO JESUS?
First Reading: First Peter 2: 2-5, 9-12
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 100: 2, 3, 4, 5
Alleluia: John 8: 12
Gospel: Mark 10: 46-52
Throughout the Season of Lent and Easter, we experience our great need for God, we recognize that he came and freely made a sacrifice of himself out of his love for us. So we celebrate his victory over sin and death and his rising to new life. This great gift of God is certainly not given to us due to any merit on our part. We are called to come to Jesus and become a dwelling place of God out of his pure goodness to us ⏤ we who were “no people” in our sin, but have become his people by his great mercy.
This is the 1494th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Rouquel Ponte, a member of the CFC Board of Elders, as he brings us today's reflection.
All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
