TOPIC: HOW SHOULD I RESPOND TO GOD WHO SACRIFICED HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON TO SAVE ME FROM MY SINS, SO THAT I MAY LIVE AND HAVE ETERNAL LIFE?
First Reading: Exodus 34: 4b-6, 8-9
Responsorial Psalm: Daniel 3: 52, 53, 54, 55, 56
Second Reading: Second Corinthians 13: 11-13
Alleluia: Revelation 1: 8
Gospel: John 3: 16-18
Today’s gospel, from John 3:16-18, invites us reflect on the immense love of God to you, me, to every individual, regardless of background, ethnicity, or social status.
The gospel also invites us to respond, just like how St. Augustine of Hippo responded to the unconditional love of God. To love God with our all, to turn away from our sins, be renewed, to live a life of chastity and charity, and to share the good news to others with fervor and urgency.
This is the 1148th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Israel Silud as he brings us today's reflection.
All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
