Gospel: Luke 4: 24-30
Jesus faced rejection from the people of Nazareth, and later, towards the end of his ministry, he encountered rejection from the people of Jerusalem, particularly their leaders who orchestrated his crucifixion. The contrast between the intentions of the people of Nazareth to throw him down a cliff and the leaders of Jerusalem to have him crucified highlights the severity of the hostility he faced.
Our mission, like Jesus', is to demonstrate God's INCLUSIVE love to others. As Christians, this is central to our calling ⏤ to help others recognize that God's favor rests upon them equally, regardless of their circumstances. This aligns closely with the ministry of Jesus, who consistently revealed God's inclusive love and acceptance to all.
