First Reading: Acts 13: 26-33
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 2: 6-7, 8-9, 10-11ab
Alleluia: John 14: 6
Gospel: John 14: 1-6
Jesus exhorts us to have peace in our hearts, to experience inner calmness, instead of worry and anxieties. Jesus says, “Do not let your hearts be troubled.” This is a strong reassurance of God’s commitment for our overall well-being. In verse 2, Jesus further says, “There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?”
Jesus is encouraging us to think about the wonderful future He is preparing for us, in our new home which we know as heaven, and which Jesus refers to as “My Father’s home,” our ultimate mansion. To know that there is a place for us in God’s eternal home is comforting enough and leads us to live a life of peace and fulfillment.
This is the 1118th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Jess Ferrer, Head of the CFC Migrants Program, as he brings us today's reflection.
All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
