TOPIC: HOW IS MY RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD?
First Reading: Isaiah 29: 17-24
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 27: 1, 4, 13-14
Gospel: Matthew 9: 27-31
while faith starts with believing, this can only be nurtured and strengthened by developing a relationship with Him—a relationship that is deep, intimate, and personal. A relationship with the Lord is deep when you can fully entrust to Him all your cares, worries, and most guarded secrets, knowing that He will completely understand and that these will not weaken your relationship with Him. It’s intimate when you actively seek to be close to Him through prayer, open your heart to Him, and allow His teachings to guide your life. And it becomes personal when you desire to be connected to Him, day in and day out, and seek to encounter Him in every situation. These 3 can only be sought and found in constant prayer.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states: This mystery (of faith), then, requires that the faithful believe in it, that they celebrate it, and that they live from it in a vital and personal relationship with the living and true God. This relationship is prayer.” (CCC 2558)
This is the 1684th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Harris Jacildo, the Sector Leader of CFC Metro Manila South B, as he brings us today's reflection.
All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
