TOPIC: CAN I GIVE JESUS THE SAME IMPORTANCE HE GIVES ME?
First Reading: Deuteronomy 30: 15-20
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 1: 1-2, 3, 4 and 6
Verse Before the Gospel: Matthew 4: 17
Gospel: Luke 9: 22-25
The Lord will call us to follow Him in our different highs or lows. He knows our every situation. God will be our fullness in His unimaginable ways, not ours. In following Jesus, our ways may be deep and rugged, but it’s probably because we’re pursuing a higher calling. Psalm 1 says: "But blessed is the man who delights in the law of the Lord, he is like a tree planted near a running water, it yields fruit in due time and whose leaves never fade. Whatever he does prospers." Brothers and sisters, take the Lord up on His promises, for He never lies.
This is the 1776th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Robert Ardiente, CFC Servants of the Lord Coordinator for Southeast Asia, as he brings us today's reflection.
All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
