TOPIC: CAN YOU STILL FIND GOD EVEN IN THE MIDST OF LOSING IMPORTANT PERSONS IN YOUR LIFE?

First Reading: Acts 16: 22-34
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 138: 1-2ab, 2cde-3, 7c-8
Alleluia: John 16: 7, 13
Gospel: John 16: 5-11

We believe that God sends us instruments of His love and faithfulness -- our families and loved ones, our friends, and those in whom we find strength and who guide us in our life decisions. Thus, we find it hard to accept the reality of losing them, because we have become attached and dependent on them.

But Christ is reminding us to find our strength and guide in Him, rather than on the persons who are His instruments. It is inevitable that people who are dear to us, no matter how strong they are, will someday leave. And so, we must focus on Him, on His love and faithfulness, through the Holy Spirit.

This is the 1471st installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Lawrence Quintero, a member of the CFC International Council, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
