TOPIC: WILL YOU SAY YES TO GOD’S INVITATION FOR YOU TODAY?
First Reading: Romans 12: 5-16ab
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 131: 1bcde, 2, 3
Alleluia: Matthew 11: 28
Gospel: Luke 14: 15-24
In our life, when we are given opportunities, some realities of life may prevent us from grabbing those opportunities. Life in the community, however, has taught us that sometimes God allows these challenges so that we can go into a proper discernment period to make our decisions clearer, especially when the choices presented to us are all good and valuable.
As we go through the journey we call life, we always try to do the best we can in all aspects ⏤ our family, our livelihood, our friends, our responsibilities in our community, and many others. We realize that all these are God’s gifts to us, and our responsibility is to take proper care of them.
This is the 1292nd installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Lawrence Quintero, a member of the CFC International Council, as he brings us today's reflection.
All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
