TOPIC: WHAT DO YOU NEED TO REFLECT ON ABOUT YOUR BAPTISMAL VOWS?
When we are betrayed or rejected, we can resort to retaliation either in thought or with physical violence. Jesus came to be baptized even if He did not have to, to identify Himself with us and show us the way to renewal. The same goes for sins we have hidden from public view, which we have continued to wallow in. He exemplifies humility in knowing that one cannot rid of all these without relying on the grace of God.
This is the 1007th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
