TOPIC: IF JESUS IS ON THE SIDE OF THE POOR, CAN I FOLLOW HIM INTO THE KINGDOM OF THE POOR?

First Reading: First John 4: 19 – 5: 4
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 72: 1-2, 14 and 15bc, 17
Alleluia: Luke 4: 18
Gospel: Luke 4: 14-22

It's not enough to meet Jesus in the Eucharist. We need to meet Him in His hiding place.  We need courage to do it. Yet it is there where the Lord can make us what He wants us to be ⏤ holy disciples. The Holy Spirit is in us. It’s the same power that made Jesus overcome His crisis of crucifixion and death. The greater our obedience to the Spirit, the fiercer will our courage be to take the side of the poor.

This is the 1719th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Robert Ardiente, CFC Servants of the Lord Coordinator for Southeast Asia, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
