A Prayer to End the Pandemic Sooner | My Pope Philippines
Last month, India’s COVID-19 cases spiked at an alarming rate. For consecutive days, they reported over 300,000 cases daily with an average of 340,000 patients in a 24-hour period. The entire world grew more concerned especially when health experts announced that they are looking into a “variant of interest,” as a double-mutation was found first in India, and had spread to a few countries already.
Because of this, and the general happenings around the world due to the pandemic, Pope Francis launched a month-long prayer marathon to pray for a faster resolution to this global health crisis. The pope says he will be praying the rosary— in honor of the Virgin Mary this May— for “wounded humanity.”
