True greatness isn’t about our title, position, or how much recognition we receive. It’s about how we love, how we serve, and especially, how we treat people who can do absolutely nothing for us in return. And Jesus takes it even further. He’s not only asking us to welcome the lowly. He’s asking us to become lowly ourselves, to become like that child: humble enough to depend on God, secure enough to not always need recognition, and willing to serve even when nobody notices.
