August 15: Day 227 | 365 BIBLE VERSE

(Romans 5:12)
"When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam's sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned."

In the book of Romans, there's a part that beautifully tells us about how we went wrong and how God made things right. The words of Paul, a follower of Jesus, help us see the big impact of Adam's mistake and the big love of Jesus.

How Sin Started:
Paul tells us that because Adam didn't listen to God, sin came into the world. This wrong thing that Adam did affected everyone. It's like a stone thrown into a pond, making ripples that touch everyone. And because of sin, everyone had to face death. It was like a dark cloud over everyone.

The Big Love Fix:
But don't lose hope! Even though it seemed really bad, God's love is even stronger. Just like sin and death spread because of Adam, God's love and forgiveness spread even more because of Jesus. Jesus is like a hero who saved us from the bad things that sin brings. His perfect life and the sacrifice he made took away the chains that kept us trapped.

Getting a Brand New Start:
Paul wants us to know that because of Jesus, we get a fresh start. When we trust Jesus, it's like a new chapter in our story. The old ways of sin and death don't control us anymore. Instead, God's love and life take over. This amazing gift of love means that even when we mess up, God's love is there to cover it up.

Prayer:
Father God, thank you for sending Jesus to rescue us from our mistakes. Help us to understand your love better and to share it with others who need hope. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
