Israel was undergoing political turmoil and suffering a long period of hardship when Isaiah uttered a prophecy of hope:

4 Every valley shall be raised up,
every mountain and hill made low;
the rough ground shall become level,
the rugged places a plain.
5 And the glory of the LORD will be revealed,
and all people will see it together.
For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”
Isaiah 40:4-5 (NIV)

As many will declare that we are in such a similar situation to Ukraine in 1914, and Israel long ago, it is so timely that we have a hope to cling to as we approach the end of another year in clutches of this pandemic. May this Carol of the Bells bring us hope and may God's word give us peace.

Luke 2:10-11 (NIV) 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

Blessed Christmas to all, from The Cov'nant Singers.
