Sermon Summary:
They were taken into exile in Assyria (II Kings 17 22-23)
• The report came back to the King of Assyria
2 Kings 17:26
“The people you deported and resettled in the towns of Samaria do not know what the god of that country requires. He has sent lions among them, which are killing them off, because the people do not know what he requires.”

taught them how to worship the Lord.
 
I  “It is my pleasure to say. . .”
Daniel 4:1-3 NIV
A. “What an Honor” we learned from Psalm 149:9 (NKJV)
Psalm 149:9 NKJV
To execute on them the written judgment— This honor have all His saints. Praise the LORD!
B. “Saying”
• According to Psalm 150:2, our praise may either be for “His excellent greatness” or “His mighty acts” – in other words – Who He is, or What He does.
Psalm 150:2
Praise him for his mighty acts: Praise him according to his excellent greatness.
Daniel 4:3 NIV
“How great are His signs, How mighty His wonders! His Kingdom is an eternal kingdom; His dominion endures from generation to generation.”
 
II I Worship When I’m Sane

A. When we are privileged to bring an offering
2 Chronicles 29:29 NIV
When the offerings were finished, the king and everyone present with him knelt down and worshiped.
Romans 15:16
to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles with the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God,

B. When we hear from the Lord
Exodus 4:29-31
Genesis 3:10
He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid.
Exodus 12:26-27
And when your children ask you, 'What does this ceremony mean to you?' 27 then tell them, 'It is the Passover sacrifice to the LORD, who passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes when he struck down the Egyptians.'" Then the people bowed down and worshiped.
 
C. When we see the Lord
Exodus 33:10-11
Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped, each at the entrance to his tent. 11 The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent.
 
D. When we are sane!!!!!!
Daniel 4:34 NLT
"After this time had passed, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven. My sanity returned, and I praised and worshiped the Most High and honored the one who lives forever. His rule is everlasting, and his kingdom is eternal.  
Luke 15:17-18
"When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father
 
III  I Have Everything To Gain
Daniel 4:36-37 NLT
"When my sanity returned to me, so did my honor and glory and kingdom. My advisers and officers sought me out, and I was reestablished as head of my kingdom, with even greater honor than before. 37 "Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble those who are proud."
 
A. Nebuchadnezzar had amazing and predictable results when he worshiped:

B. When you worship you will also have amazing but predictable results
 
Acts 8:27-29
So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, 28 and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the book of Isaiah the prophet. 29 The Spirit told Philip, "Go to that chariot and stay near it."
 
C. Worship brings blessing of many kinds
 
Exodus 23:25-27
Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, 26 and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span. 27 "I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run.
