The story continues with more trouble for Tristan, making his father even angrier. Frustrated, Tristan blames his father for being bad-tempered and not listening to him. In a moment of rage, the father slaps Tristan for talking back. Seeing Tristan's reaction, the father fears his son might run away. Realizing his mistake, he hugs Tristan and apologizes, explaining he only wants to protect him from trouble.
