Devotional Message:

(Mark 10:45)
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

This verse teaches us about Jesus’ selfless love and His commitment to serve others.

1. Service Over Self: Jesus did not come to Earth seeking praise or power. Instead, He put others first, showing us how to live with a servant's heart. Ask yourself how you can serve others today. It could be as simple as helping a neighbor, lending a hand to a friend, or giving your time to someone in need.

2. Sacrifice: Jesus was willing to give His life for us. This teaches us the importance of putting others' needs above our own. How can you make small sacrifices for those around you? It might mean listening to someone who needs to talk, offering encouragement, or being patient with someone who tests your patience.

3. Following Jesus’ Example: If we strive to live as Jesus did, we must be willing to serve others without expecting anything in return. Whether it's at home, work, or in our community, there are always opportunities to help others and show kindness.

4. A Joyful Heart: Serving others doesn't have to be a burden; it can bring us joy and fulfillment. When we help others, we often find that our own hearts are uplifted. We connect with others on a deeper level and experience the beauty of shared compassion.

So, let us take this verse from Mark 10:45 to heart. Let’s commit to serving others with love and humility, following the example of Jesus. When we live this way, we bring light to the world and grow in our faith.
