Devotional Message:

(1 Peter 1:8-9)
"Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls."

Today, I want to share a beautiful message from 1 Peter 1:8-9 that speaks to the joy we find in our faith, even when we can't physically see God.

Have you ever thought about how amazing it is to love and believe in someone you've never seen? That's what Peter is talking about here. He reminds us that even though we haven't seen Jesus with our own eyes, we can still love Him deeply and believe in Him with all our hearts.

Think about it this way: Have you ever felt really happy, like you're bursting with joy, but you can't even explain why? That's the kind of joy Peter is talking about – it's so big and so wonderful that it's hard to put into words.

And where does this joy come from? It comes from our faith in Jesus. Even though we haven't seen Him, we know He's real. We know He loves us, and we know He's with us every step of the way.

This joy isn't just a temporary feeling either. It's something that lasts forever. Peter says it's like receiving the final prize for our faith – the salvation of our souls. It's like winning the biggest prize ever, and it's all because of our love for Jesus and our belief in Him.

So, let's hold on to this joy. Let's remember that even when life gets tough and we can't see what's ahead, we can still find joy in our faith. And one day, when we finally see Jesus face to face, that joy will be even greater than we could ever imagine.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the joy that comes from knowing and believing in Jesus, even though we haven't seen Him. Help us hold onto this joy and trust in Him always. Amen.
