Devotional Message:

(Mark 4:2)
"And he taught them many things in parables, and in his teaching he said to them: 'Listen!'"

In this verse, we see Jesus teaching his disciples using parables. He begins by saying, "Listen!" This simple command carries profound meaning for us today.

Firstly, Jesus used parables to teach because he knew that stories are powerful. They have a way of reaching deep into our hearts and minds, making complex truths easier to understand. Just like Jesus' disciples, we are called to listen attentively to his teachings, allowing them to penetrate our souls and transform our lives.

Secondly, Jesus' call to "listen" reminds us of the importance of being present in the moment. In a world filled with distractions and noise, it can be challenging to truly listen. Yet, when we take the time to quiet our hearts and minds, we create space for God to speak to us. Let's set aside the busyness of life and tune our ears to the voice of our Savior.
