Devotional Message:
(Romans 5:8)
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Let’s think about what love truly means. Many of us might believe that love is something we earn or deserve. We try to be good enough to be loved by others, and sometimes, we think the same way about God’s love. But Romans 5:8 tells us something different and much more powerful.

1. God’s Love is Unconditional:
The verse says, “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” This means that God’s love isn’t something we have to earn. He loved us even when we were not doing anything right, even when we were far from Him. This kind of love is called "unconditional love"—love without conditions or requirements. God didn’t wait for us to clean up our act before He sent Jesus to die for us. He loved us as we were.

Application:
In our lives, we often put conditions on our love for others. We might think, "I’ll be kind to them if they are kind to me," or "I’ll forgive them if they apologize first." But God’s example teaches us to love others without waiting for them to be perfect. We can start by showing kindness to someone who hasn’t been kind to us, or by forgiving someone even if they haven’t asked for it. This reflects God’s love in our everyday lives.

2. God’s Love is Sacrificial:
Jesus didn’t just tell us He loved us; He showed it by sacrificing His life. He took the punishment that we deserved because of our sins, and He did this out of pure love. Sacrificial love means putting others' needs before our own. It’s not always easy, but it’s a powerful way to demonstrate God’s love.

Application:
We can apply this in our lives by putting others first in small ways, like helping someone in need, listening to a friend who’s going through a tough time, or giving up something we want to make
