August 16: Day 228 | 365 BIBLE VERSES – Daily Devotional Today [Our Daily Bread] | MamClaireTV

(Romans 7:24-25)
"I'm in a terrible state! Who can rescue me from this body that's dying? Thank God, it's through Jesus Christ our Lord! With Him, I'm set free!"

In Romans 7:7-25, Paul opens his heart to us, talking about his fight against doing wrong. He talks about wanting to follow God but sometimes doing the opposite. This shows us that, even if we believe in God, we can still face tough times.

Have you felt torn between doing good and giving in to something wrong? Paul's words show us that he faced the same struggle we do—wanting to be good but also wanting to do bad things. He's honest about the battle he's going through.

But even though Paul struggled, he didn't lose hope. In verse 25, he says, "Thank God! Jesus Christ helps me." This is the key to winning: Jesus helped him beat the bad stuff. Through Jesus, we can also find the strength to fight against bad things and change for the better.

Prayer:
Father God, thank You for Jesus, who gives us strength to do better. Help us trust in Him and His power to change us. Guide us to make good choices and give us courage to face hard times. In Jesus's name, amen.
