Devotional Message:
(Romans 13:1)
"Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God."

This verse tells us that every person should submit to the authorities because all authority comes from God. This means that the leaders we see in our lives—whether in our country, workplace, school, or even our homes—are there because God has allowed them to be. Sometimes, we might not agree with everything they do or say, but this verse reminds us that they have a role in God's plan. God is in control, and He places people in positions of authority for a reason. Our job is to respect and obey them, as long as they do not ask us to do something that goes against God's word.

Application:
In our daily lives, we encounter many forms of authority. It could be a teacher giving us instructions, a boss at work, or the laws of our country that we must follow. Sometimes, it might be challenging to obey when we think something isn't fair or when we have a different opinion. However, this verse encourages us to remember that God sees the bigger picture. By submitting to authority, we are ultimately submitting to God. This doesn't mean we can't express our thoughts or stand up for what's right. But it does mean that we should do so respectfully and with a heart that honors God.

For example, if a student is asked to complete an assignment, they should do their best, even if they don't enjoy the task. If we are driving, we should follow the traffic rules, knowing that these rules are in place to keep us and others safe. If a leader makes a decision that we don't agree with, we can pray for them, trusting that God is working through the situation, even if we don't understand how.

Let us commit to respecting and obeying those in authority, not just because we
