August 26: Day 238 | 365 BIBLE VERSES – Daily Devotional Today [Our Daily Bread] | MamClaireTV
(Romans 14:19)
"Let's work really hard to make peace and help each other grow."
This verse tells us that we should try our best to be peaceful and support each other. When we talk to other believers and people we meet, we should choose our words and actions carefully to make things peaceful and to help everyone get better. This way, we show the love and togetherness that Jesus wants us to have.
In Romans 14:19-15:3, the apostle Paul gives us valuable advice on how to live well together as Christians. He talks about two important things: making peace and supporting each other.
1. Making Peace: Paul wants us to actively look for peace and help each other grow. In a world with lots of arguments, we, as believers, should try to make peace. This means solving problems kindly, saying things that bring us together, and showing love to everyone.
2. Avoid Causing Problems: Paul talks about food choices, but it's really about not causing trouble for other believers. We should be careful not to do things that might make someone stop believing in God. We need to think about our actions and make sure they don't push people away from their faith.
3. Acting in Faith: Paul reminds us to do things because we believe they're right. If we strongly believe something, we should keep it personal between us and God. But we should also be understanding of what others believe. It's about sticking to our faith while respecting others who see things differently.
4. Blessed is the Peacemaker: Paul ends by saying we're blessed when we live in a way that doesn't make us or others feel guilty. When we focus on peace, helping others, and acting with faith, we'll find the happiness and blessings God wants for us.
