Devotional Message:
(Romans 16:19)
"For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil."
In this verse, Paul is writing to the believers in Rome. He starts by praising them for their obedience to God's teachings, which has become widely known. Their faithfulness and commitment to living according to God’s word have earned them a good reputation among other believers. Paul is joyful because of this. However, he doesn't just stop at praising them. He gives them an important reminder: while it’s good to be known for obedience, it's crucial to be wise in doing good and innocent regarding evil.
Paul’s advice is practical for all of us. Being wise in what is good means that we should seek to understand what is right and pursue it with all our hearts. It means making decisions that align with God’s will, using discernment in every situation, and choosing actions that reflect our faith. On the other hand, being "simple concerning evil" means avoiding complicating our lives with sin. It means steering clear of anything that could lead us away from God or tarnish our testimony as Christians.
This verse challenges us to focus on living a life that not only pleases God but also sets a positive example for others. We are called to be wise in our choices, making sure that they are good, pure, and righteous. At the same time, we are to be innocent of evil, not allowing it to take root in our lives.

In our everyday lives, we are faced with decisions that test our commitment to God’s teachings. Whether it’s in our relationships, work, or
