Devotional Message:
(Galatians 3:11)
"Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because 'the righteous will live by faith.'"

Galatians 3:11 speaks to a core truth of our faith—that we are not justified by the law, but by faith. In simpler terms, it means that following rules or doing good deeds alone does not make us right with God. No matter how hard we try, we cannot earn our way into heaven by just doing good things. The law was given to guide us and show us what is right, but it was never meant to save us. It’s like a mirror that shows us our flaws, but it can’t fix them.

This verse reminds us that true righteousness, or being right in God’s eyes, comes through faith. Faith is trusting in God’s promises, believing in Jesus Christ, and relying on Him completely. When we live by faith, we recognize that our salvation is a gift from God, not something we can earn. This kind of faith changes how we live. It brings us peace, knowing that we don’t have to strive to earn God’s love—it’s already given to us freely through Jesus.

In our daily lives, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking we have to be perfect to please God. We might think that if we pray more, read the Bible more, or do more good deeds, God will love us more. But Galatians 3:11 tells us that we are already justified, or made right, by our faith in Jesus. This doesn’t mean we stop doing good things, but we do them out of love for God, not as a way to earn His favor. Our faith leads us to live righteous lives because we trust in God’s grace and mercy.
