Devotional Message:
(2 Corinthians 11:14-15)
"But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no wonder that his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. In the end, they will get the punishment their wicked deeds deserve."

These verses remind us of the need for discernment in our spiritual lives. Discernment means the ability to judge well and recognize the difference between what is true and what is false.

1. Understanding the Disguise

Paul, the writer of this letter, warns us that Satan, the enemy of our souls, can appear to be good and righteous. He disguises himself as an angel of light, which means he tries to look like something he is not. This is a powerful tactic because it is easier for people to be deceived when evil looks like good.

2. Recognizing False Servants

Paul also tells us that Satan’s servants, or those who do his work, can also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. These individuals may seem like they are doing good, but their true intentions are harmful. They may speak with convincing words and act kindly, but their goal is to lead us away from God's truth.

3. The Importance of Staying Vigilant

So, how do we protect ourselves from being deceived? The first step is to stay close to God and His word. The Bible is our guide to knowing what is true. By regularly reading and studying the Bible, we fill our minds and hearts with God's truth, making it easier to spot lies and deceit.

Prayer is also essential. We should ask God for wisdom and discernment to recognize when something is not right. The Holy Spirit, who lives within us, can guide us and help us see beyond appearances.
