Devotional Message:
(Revelation 5:12)
"In a loud voice they were saying: ‘Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!’"
Devotional Message:
This verse takes us to a beautiful scene in heaven where all the angels, creatures, and elders gather around the throne of God to worship Jesus, the Lamb who was slain for our sins.
The Lamb in this passage represents Jesus, who gave His life on the cross to pay the price for all of our wrongdoings. This act was not just a simple act of love; it was a great victory. Jesus' death and resurrection made it possible for us to have a relationship with God. But why do all these heavenly beings praise Him? They recognize the immense worth of His sacrifice.
Now, let’s think about how this relates to us today. Just as the heavenly beings acknowledge Jesus’ worth, we too are called to do the same in our everyday lives. It’s easy to get distracted by the challenges we face or the joys we experience, but our primary focus should always be on Christ and His work in our lives. He has given us life, forgiveness, and hope, and He deserves all the praise, honor, and glory.
When you go through life, remember the Lamb who was slain. In the good times and the tough times, you can worship Him not just with words, but with your actions, your choices, and your heart. What would happen if we made the Lamb’s worth our highest priority? We’d begin to see everything in life from a different perspective—one that values His sacrifice above all else.
Jesus is worthy not just because of what He did, but because of who He is. He is the Creator, the Savior, the King. When you acknowledge His worth daily, you’ll find that your life will be filled with peace, purpose, and praise.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, we praise You for being the Lamb who was slain for us.
