Devotional Message:
(Revelation 16:15)
“Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.”

Observation:
This verse paints a vivid picture of readiness. A thief doesn’t announce their arrival, and neither will Jesus when He comes again. It will be sudden and unexpected. Jesus is urging us to stay spiritually awake and prepared, keeping ourselves clothed in righteousness.

To "stay awake" means to remain vigilant in our faith. It’s easy to get distracted by the world—chasing after success, possessions, or pleasures—and forget about our spiritual condition. Similarly, to "remain clothed" symbolizes living a life that honors God. It’s not enough to know about Jesus; we must live out our faith daily. If we’re careless or indifferent, we risk being spiritually "naked" and ashamed when He returns.

Think about it this way: if you knew a special guest was coming to your house, you would prepare—cleaning, arranging, and making sure everything is in place. In the same way, Jesus is telling us to prepare our hearts and lives for His return. This means turning away from sin, being active in prayer, studying His Word, and loving others as He commanded.

Application:
This message challenges us to examine our lives. Are we living in a way that pleases God? Are we prepared to meet Jesus if He comes today? Staying spiritually awake doesn’t mean being perfect; it means striving daily to walk closely with God.

We can stay awake by staying connected to Him through prayer and reading the Bible. Start your day by asking God for strength to live righteously and make decisions that honor Him.
