Devotional Message:
(Revelation 21:23)
"The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp."

Observation:
Revelation 21:23 describes a vision of the New Jerusalem, a perfect city where God Himself is the source of light. In this city, there is no need for the sun or moon because God's glory shines so brightly, and the Lamb, Jesus Christ, is the lamp that directs and illuminates everything. This is not just a physical light but a representation of God’s presence, holiness, and power. Imagine a place where there is no darkness at all—no sin, no fear, and no confusion. God's light provides everything needed for life, clarity, and joy.

This verse reminds us that God’s glory is sufficient for all things. It also shows us the central role of Jesus, the Lamb, in revealing God’s glory. Through Jesus, we see the way, the truth, and the life. In this eternal city, there will be no need for substitutes like artificial lights or temporary sources of hope because God Himself will dwell among His people forever.

Application:
What does this mean for us today? While we are not yet in the New Jerusalem, we can still live in the light of God's glory now. Jesus said in John 8:12, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." This means that when we choose to follow Jesus, His light will guide our steps, illuminate our choices, and give us hope even in the darkest times.

Many of us try to find "light" from other sources—like success, relationships, or material possessions. These things might brighten our lives temporarily, but they will eventually fade. God’s light, however, is constant and eternal. To live in this light, we need to spend time with Him daily through prayer, reading His Word, and obeying His
