(Matthew 27:3-5)
"Then when Judas, his betrayer, saw that Jesus was condemned, he changed his mind and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders, saying, 'I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.' They said, 'What is that to us? See to it yourself.' And throwing down the pieces of silver into the temple, he departed, and he went and hanged himself."

Matthew 27:1-26 recounts Jesus' trial and condemnation by the religious leaders and the Roman governor, Pilate. Despite finding no guilt in Jesus, Pilate was pressured by the crowd to crucify Him. Jesus' innocence, Pilate's lack of conviction, and the people's demand for Jesus' execution highlight the rejection and sacrifice of Jesus as part of God's plan for salvation.

In Matthew 27:3-5, we encounter the story of Judas Iscariot, a man who tragically betrayed Jesus. Judas, consumed by guilt and remorse, realized the magnitude of his actions. Overwhelmed by remorse, he sought to undo his terrible mistake. And in this story, we can find valuable lessons that resonate with us today.
