Observation
Have you ever felt like a stranger in a new place? Maybe you moved to a different town, started a new job, or joined a new group. At first, you didn’t know anyone, and everything felt unfamiliar. You might have worried about whether people would accept you or if you would fit in.

In the Bible, God reminds the Israelites that they were once strangers in Egypt. They knew how it felt to be foreigners in a land that was not their own. Because of this, God commanded them to treat outsiders with love and kindness, just as they would treat one of their own people.

Even today, we meet strangers all the time. These could be new students in our school, neighbors who just moved in, or people from different places and cultures. God calls us to love them and welcome them, just as He welcomed us into His family.

Application

Think about a time when you felt left out. Maybe you sat alone at lunch or struggled to make new friends. Now, imagine someone coming up to you with a warm smile, inviting you to join them. How did that feel? It probably made you feel valued and accepted.

God wants us to be that welcoming person for others. He wants us to show love to strangers, not just in words but in actions. Here are a few ways we can do that:

1. Show kindness. A simple “hello” or a smile can make someone feel welcome.

2. Be patient and understanding. Some people may speak differently, look different, or act differently. Instead of judging them, take time to understand them.

3. Help those in need. If someone is struggling to adjust, offer your help. Maybe they need directions, a friend to talk to, or just someone who will listen.

4. Treat everyone with respect. Whether they are rich or poor, young or old, familiar or unfamiliar, they are still created by God and
