Verse of the Day: Romans 9:3

Devotional Message:
(Romans 9:3)
I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for [my people's] sake.

One day, a man named Marco saw a big crowd in the marketplace. Everyone seemed busy buying, selling, and talking loudly. But Marco noticed something different—he saw people who looked tired, lost, and burdened. His heart felt heavy. Marco thought, "If only I could give them peace, I would give up my own comfort for them to feel loved and cared for."

Devotional Message
Observation
In Romans 9:3, Paul expressed a deep love for his people. He said he would even be willing to be separated from Christ if it meant his fellow Israelites could be saved. This is a remarkable statement of selflessness. Paul loved them so much that he was willing to sacrifice his own relationship with God for their sake.

As we look around, we see "crowds" in our lives—our families, friends, neighbors, and even strangers. Many people are burdened, lost, and searching for hope. Like Paul, we are called to have a heart of compassion for them. God wants us to care deeply for others, even if it means sacrificing our time, comfort, or resources.

Application
How do we respond to the "crowds" around us? Do we notice their needs, or are we too busy with our own lives? Loving others like Paul did requires us to pray for them, share the love of Christ, and meet their needs when we can.

Start small. You can encourage someone with kind words, help a struggling friend, or share the gospel with a neighbor. It may be inconvenient, but remember that Jesus Himself sacrificed His life for us. If we truly love others, we will go beyond what is comfortable to show them Christ’s love.

Ask yourself today: Who is "the crowd" God is calling me to love? How can I reflect Paul’s heart of selflessness in my daily life?

Prayer:
Lord, give me a heart like Paul’s—a heart that loves others deeply and selflessly. Help me to notice the needs of the people around me and to show Your love in practical ways. Use me to bring them closer to You. Amen.
