(Matthew 2:11)
"And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh."

CHAPTER SUMMARY:
In chapter 2, we find the story of the wise men who traveled from afar to find the newborn Jesus. These wise men were guided by a special star and were filled with joy when they found Jesus. They worshiped him and presented precious gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. However, King Herod was threatened by Jesus' birth and sought to harm him. But God warned the wise men in a dream, so they returned home by a different route. Through this story, we see that Jesus' birth was significant, celebrated, and recognized by those who sought Him. It also foreshadows the conflict that would arise around Jesus later in his life.

REFLECTION AND APPLICATION:
In Matthew 2:11, it tells us about the wise men who visited the baby Jesus and offered Him gifts.

This story teaches us several important truths that can uplift our spirits and inspire us on our journey of faith.

First, notice that the wise men fell down and worshiped Jesus. Their response was one of reverence, acknowledging Him as the King and Savior. Just like these wise men, let us also approach Jesus with humility, recognizing His majesty and power.
